Shot Types questions and self reflection

Shot Types and questions and reflection

Watch the video on shot types. Answer the following questions and post them on your blog.

1. List each type of shot and what purpose or function that the shot has.
Establishing shot- Establishes the setting so people know what's going on.

Full Shot- Show the full subject

Medium Shot- Shows more detail on the subject

Medium Close Up-  Shows even more detail on the subject like the expression on their faces.

Close Up- Shows a lot more detail and adds a sense of intimacy like you're there watching closely.

Extreme Close- Shows extreme detail to one spot with great significance.

2. What is the best way to shoot a scene, in relation to using different shot types?
The best way to shoot a scene is to plan the scene and practice what you're going to do and check what the best types of shots are for the scene

3. What should you do when you plan to shoot a video? (Consider shot types, and what Robert Rodriguez said in his 10 minute film school).

You should try to be as creative as you can and try to get help from people who have knowledge in making videos.

Bonus Question
4. What does the little boy's shirt say in the video?
 "Parents for Sale"
